Nowadays, preachers keep emphasizing the need to ‘love our neighbors in order to be good Christians’, but that is not where God tells us to start our sanctification journey. When speaking to self-proclaimed “experts” on God’s law, Jesus addressed the debate head on:
Being an author, I naturally love reading. Fortunately, my husband and kiddos are avid readers as well…
We don’t have a lot of clutter in our house. Why? We don’t have it because we don’t purchase it in the first place.
My husband’s favorite chewy bar has peanut butter, chocolate chips, and a bunch of other junk. I wanted to convince him to trade in his chewy bars for a more robust snack. Hence, these muffins were born.
We were made to work and be the undershepherds of creation (Gen. 2). Unfortunately, after the Fall, work got a lot harder and became far less enjoyable.
The other day at Sunday school, my toddler scarfed down three full-sized pumpkin muffins. With shock, horror, and excitement, I knew exactly what I needed to do next. I needed to make a batch of my own, famous pumpkin muffins to add to her breakfast rotation. The flavor profile of these muffins truly is worthy of the “bomb-dot-com” label. They are unlike any other pumpkin muffin/bread product that I have ever tasted. They have a rich depth provided by maple syrup; a perfectly balanced spice; a beautiful amaretto surprise note; and are great with/without chocolate chips. Guten appetit!
People keep asking my kiddos if they are ready for Santa and then finding out in horror that we don’t do Santa. The people who ask seem well-intentioned, but they don’t seem to understand that Santa truly torpedoes a Christian Christmas.
