Being an author, I naturally love reading. Fortunately, my husband and kiddos are avid readers as well. Here is what we are into this month:

For my Daughter
For my Son
For my Husband

So my mother sent this book, Grumpy Monkey Party Time! by Suzanne Lang, to my four-year-old daughter as a birthday gift. Her and her little brother both love its detailed pictures and the lists of details that they can “read” (aka memorize and recite) near the end of the book.

Our family gave a set of these Hello, World! books to my daughter for her birthday last month. She loves all four books and usually likes my husband to read all four to her in short succession. However, it is my two-year-old son who is OBSESSED with imitating the sounds from this book, Backyard Bugs by Jill McDonald. He loves to “chomp” like a ladybug and “buzz” like a bumble bee; and I love teaching him about the unique attributes of insects that we routinely see outside. Winning all around 🙂

My husband has been treating his Covid-crazies by reading more books. Fortunately, books bring him LOTS of joy. This month, you will find him and his highlighter with this hard to find book, Plague of Corruption by Dr. Judy Mikovits & Kent Heckenlively, JD. He recommends this book for anyone interested in learning more about the big business side of medical research.

I am now the Master Contractor for our house renovation, so I have only had time to read permit documents and do construction related research, in addition to my usual docket of writing, picture book readings with my kiddos, and discussing my husband’s book learnings. What a crazy month!
