Theologically-sound Sing-a-longs? Yes!

My kiddos and I love to sing–all day, every day. I find it is a joyful and simple way to teach my children about God (a.k.a. sound theology).

How do we do it? We start by learning songs in the car. I just queue up this theologically-sound playlist* in my truck and sing along. My toddler listens intently to the less familiar songs and sings along to the ones that she remembers. (And my infant is now starting to mimic her 🙂 ) Once we are in the house or rolling with our stroller, I just sing whatever God places on my heart (usually a modernized hymn). My toddler usually joins in (singing her own rendition, of course lol) and my infant smiles and coos. Next thing you know, we are singing, babbling, clapping, and dancing all to the glory of God 🙂

*Be VERY careful which songs you sing. Many “Christian” songs are (borderline) heretical. This is why I carefully curate the Spotify playlist below. Follow the playlist in Spotify to sing along with us 🙂

Yahweh, our Lord, how magnificent is Your name throughout the earth! You have covered the heavens with Your majesty. Because of Your adversaries, You have established a stronghold from the mouths of children and nursing infants to silence the enemy and the avenger. – Psalm 8:1-2Â
